Champagne – Wine in 10

Today we are talking about the region that has become the gold standard for wines with CO2, the place that puts the sparkle into sparkling wine: Champagne! Champagne’s name comes from Latin for „open countryside“ – Campania. The region became the first in the world to produce Sparkling wine in larger quantities. It also became the model for many other sparkling wine-producing regions who copied grape varieties and methods from Champagne.
